Unless you tell them that is. You know why you are outstanding, so make sure you tell them. If you remember! When CQC land an unannounced visit, it usually sends everyone into a spin and all those points you were going to highlight disappear like the morning mist. So we’ve put together an easy to use a checklist that can be given to the inspector by whoever opens the front door to them.

A recent inspector commented, "This has saved me so much work, I’ll take it back and copy it across to your report". Fill it in, share it with all the staff, tell them where to find it, and then pin it up in the office for everyone to see.
